The self –employed farmers, international, professional athletes, or individuals in the arts and culture industry who can prove skills and experience to immigrate to Canada permanently as a self-employed person.

Canada Self-employed eligibility requirement:
- Applicant must have a relevant work experience
- Applicant must meet the program’s selection criteria
- Applicant must be willing and able to be self-employed in Canada
- Applicant must meet medical clearance, police clearance and other major conditions
Relevant work experience:
- Applicant should be in athletics at a world-class level or taken part in cultural activities
- Applicant been a self-employed in cultural activities or athletics
- At least two years of experience in relevant experience as a self-employed person.
- Experience should be during the last 5 years period before the day you apply for visa.
Work Experience Requirements:
For cultural activities:
- Two years of being self-employed in cultural activities, or
- Two years of participating at a world-class level in cultural activities, or
- A combination of one year of each of the above
For athletics:
- Two years of being self-employed in athletics, or
- Two years of participating at a world-class level in athletics, or
- A combination of one year of each of the above
Selection points criteria:
In additional of meeting experience requirements, applicants also meet the points system to assess their eligibility for Canada self-employed visa
The pass mark is currently 35 points out of 100 for immigrating to Canada as a self-employed immigrant.
